Charles P. Staubach family history notebooks 1769-1977

Charles P. Staubach (1870-1966) worked as a sales executive for the Burroughs Corporation, served as an officer in the 8th Infantry Regiment, New York National Guard, and was the first president of the Century Road Club Association. The Charles P. Staubach family history notebooks, compiled by Staubach from 1933-1955 and continued by his sons, 1966-1977, concern the history of his and his wife's families across multiple generations. The collection contains genealogical and biographical information on his parents, Baldwin Staubach and Elise Schwab, his wife Edith Arnold's parents, George Arnold and Frances Dubois, and numerous allied families. The notebooks also contain Staubach's memoir of his life and career, and serve as a scrapbook of family records including birth and death certificates, correspondence, pedigrees, photographs, clippings, maps, ephemera, and research notes.

Charles P. Staubach (1870-1966) was a sales executive for the Burroughs Corporation who researched the history and genealogy of his family. He was born in 1870 in Fishkill, N.Y. and moved with his family to New York City in 1880. He worked in his family's iron foundry and machine business until it was liquidated in 1884, and graduated from City College in 1887.
